The CSA Track Commission has selected a full 9 rider squad to represent South Africa at the Beijing World Cup from 22 to 24 January 2010. Read more

In terms of the track selection criteria, we need to ensure that the current riders on the national squad have maintained their standards. Additionally, we need to ensure that our decision to back Dean Edwards and Nolan Hoffman for the Cali World Cup and hopefully the Beijing World Cup is sound .

So, If you feel you have it in you to give either Dean Edwards or Nolan Hoffman a run for their money, we , the national track selectors will need to see you in action. We have devised a program that includes a race and some time for you the athlete to perform trials as per our track selection criteria an excerpt of which appears below .

The program will consist of :

Boxing Day 26 Dec 2009 – performances will be judged as per usual as a selection race
Rest Day – Sunday 27 Dec 2009
Trials Monday 28 Dec 2009 – Bellville Velodrome – 9 am to 3pm
Trials Tuesday 29 Dec 2009 – Bellville Velodrome – 9 am to 3pm

The Track Commission has confirmed that the National Championships in 2010 will be over the first few days of October.

All the information and entry forms for the 2-day track event that takes place in Cape Town at the Bellville Velodrome on 15 and 16 December 2009 are available for download.

Note that there are NO LATE ENTRIES for TEAMS.
